July saw the Cliffhanger event return to Millhouses Park in Sheffield and once again Sheffield City Kayak Clubs team put on an event to be proud of, infact our coaches gave over 400 free taster sessions to the public from ages 7 and up.

A huge Thank You to all who gave up their time to support us again, coaches, bank side support and admin staff. Names are too many to mention and you all know who you are, but a special mention must go out to Neil who kindly helped out with his trailer and gave up his time even though he was flying all weekend.

Another huge Thanks must go out to Elise & Karen our money raising team, who this year baked hundreds of cupcakes and also ran a Tombola & Raffle to raise much needed funds - prizes were kindly donated by local business and deserve a special mention.

The Raffle was drawn after the event and prizes are being collected and posted out to lucky winners.

1st Prize was a Tool Set kindly donated by Newell Rubbermaid and was won by Mr P Jordens of Leeds.

2nd Prize winner of a Berghaus Ladies Jacket has yet to be contacted - so answer your phone whoever you are!!!

3rd Prize was an Electric Drill, many thanks to Jewsons Sheffield for their generous donation and was won by Paula Street of Sheffield. Presented by our Chairman and regional BCU Representative. Congratulations.
